[39] Look I'm standing naked before you

Couldn't the City have at least given us black bars?

I'd love to hang out around the City, but I'm not about to traumatize myself by seeing people I know naked. Although, I'm also kind of curious.. But I'm naked too, so no way.

Does covering up with blankets work? It's kind of cold.

((ooc: She's more embarrassed than she sounds. :P))

The genie curse was nice, but I'm grateful to be able to put on or take off <s>or glamour</s> clothing on at my own free will.

What do you think about wishes?

Roiben is back.
[36] There's no place like home

The scarecrow epidemic isn't too bad, but the one in my living room won't stop asking for dinner. I don't know if I should feed it. It might turn into a gremlin or something. Then again, he'll disappear at midnight, anyway. <s>Everything in this City has a habit of disappearing. Even people.</s>

Has anyone seen Sarah again at all?

[Private/Unhackable]

It feels like it's been longer than it has been since Roiben has been gone. It takes getting used to.

And now I wonder if the City has taken Sarah too. The last time I saw her was at her birthday party. Which was strange.. Was the Cheshire cat supposed to be there? I hope she didn't make like Little Red Riding hood for real and get lost going somewhere.

((ooc: Uh. Backdated much? <3 And I'm assuming that Kaye has heard that Sarah is gone. She would have at least definitely noticed.))

Is everyone, uhm, okay? I heard that a cure was found for some of the diseases spreading around. I hope it's working. Everyone should go see the doctor immediately, even if it's just the smallest symptoms. Like uncontrollable giggling.

Roiben's gone. <s>It's probably better this way. He had so much work to do, but--</s>

Can anyone tell me where the Hall of Missing is? <s>Or walk with me there.
Is everyone okay after yesterday? I'm sorry I wasn't around much. I was kind of affected too.

[Private/Unhackable] What am I going to do with all this stuff? It would be too awkward just to return it, and I might get in trouble, but I seriously never would have stolen this much stuff. There are rules. I mean, I usually follow them. [/Private]

((ooc: so, I belatedly realized the curse was for philias too, not just phobias, and Kaye has a bit of a habit with shop-lifting.
Ow, my ears sting. That sorting hat that randomly appeared in my room was loud.

Hey, I got in your house, Harry. Gryffindor. I didn't think I was that brave, but I guess I'm more brave than smart or kind. <s>Or like Slytherin.</s>

Bella? I'm.. sorry about what I said about your boyfriend. Even if it was a curse and all. <s>I can't believe I said all of those things about Roiben too. That's embarrassing. I didn't even get drunk or eat giggly cupcakes.</s>

What did everyone else get?

((ooc: Alas, I don't think any of my characters fit into Hufflepuff, my favourite house.

Ever since that injury curse, I've been wondering if there was something I could do. I mean, I know faeries can use glamour, but what about healing? I never learned that. Can they even do that? I'm sure some could, right?

So, I was thinking that there is still a lot I don't know about my, er, heritage. And that everyone here seems to have a different idea about them. Vampires and other creatures are all different here too.

What are faeries like where you're from? Any stories?

Roiben, Corny, or anyone else, do you want to do something some time? Get a drink or go to a coffee shop, maybe. I feel like relaxing. The City curses kind of do that to you.

I know the deities must think this place is some kind of fucking reality show they can watch and that the curses are there to spice things up, but what I want to know is how anyone can find yesterday funny. At all. Opening up old wounds, blood, death. Great. That's real amusing.

I'm sure if it happened to them they wouldn't think it was so funny.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help yesterday.
[27] Old scars die hard [Action!spam for Roiben]

[The last few days had been so strangely peaceful, hadn't they? At least, as far as the City was concerned. So Kaye was having a pretty restful sleep. She was curled up on the small bed she was sharing with Roiben, as per the usual arrangement.

She was sleeping well, at least, until morning came and she started to drift into semi-consciousness. Her eyes were still closed, and she would have just gone right back to sleep like she usually did, but something wasn't right. Something didn't feel right. Kaye felt something cold and sticky near her, not warm, like Roiben usually was.

Instinctively knowing something was wrong, that it had to be a curse, her eyes shot open and widened as soon as they saw what they did; Roiben looked dead. There were scars upon scars all over his body, all fresh with blood. She recognized the spot on his chest where the iron arrow had once pierced his body. There was so much blood that she wasn't even sure if he was alive at all.]

"R-Roiben... Roiben! Wake up! Y-You're.. alive, aren't you?"

[Not caring about the blood, she automatically sat up on the bed and started to shake his shoulders. But then she loosened her grip, worrying that the slightest touch might harm him more. So she just continued to shout at him, hoping he would wake up, hoping that he could even hear her. This had to be some sick, cruel joke.]

[26] In which many brains break

There is something strange and perplexing about this day, but I cannot place what it is. Perhaps it is another curse that I am not made aware of. The City always has a new way of making life a pain to endure.

I feel as if I am constantly tied to many different sides by invisible strings, unable to settle to just one - Ironside, the land of Faerie, and here, where new friends have been made. After all this time we are still bound here, yet others vanish every day. It is troubling to think about. How much time is there left?

((ooc: Sooo affected, and please to be pretending this was posted a few hours earlier? Roiben-mun is internetless at the moment, but Kaye will be acting like Roiben today - proper, well-spoken, and kinda broody.))

[25] Just for fun

001. How many people have you kissed in your entire life?: 4 guys, 1 girl. ..It was a dare.

002. Which do you like better, white or dark chocolate?: Can't I have both? Maybe dark.

003. Have you ever dyed your hair?: Purple once, now green.

004. Describe your significant other in one word: Broody. But deep down, he's really nice.

005. Have you ever cross-dress before?: No. But it sounds kind of fun.

006. How long are your fingernails at the moment?: Short. I have a habit of biting at them a lot.

007. Do you wear socks that have holes in them?: Sure. They're still good.

008. Describe your best friend in one word: Geeky. You know it's true, Corny.

009. If there was a pill that enlarged boobs and actually worked, would you spend $500 on it?: No. I mean, a little bigger would be nice, but I wouldn't go to that much trouble just for bigger boobs.

010. What's the worst haircut you've ever gotten? Where did you get it cut and why was it so bad?: One time Mom cut it too short when I was a kid. But she's better at that now. Corny should know. She loves to style his hair.

011. What's your least favorite smell?: Iron. Definitely iron.

012. If you found out a friend was smoking, what would you do?: It's not my business. I would only be bothered if it was Roiben since, you know, he's a faerie. But I really can't imagine him doing that. I think I was the only faerie stupid enough to attempt smoking cigarettes.

013. What's your favorite color?: Green. It's easy to match on me, anyway.

014. What cellphone company do you use?: I don't have a cell phone.

015. Are you ticklish?: <s>..yes.</s> Depends on where.

016. What's better, old or new Green Day?: I don't really listen to them much, but I guess old. I didn't know there was a new Green Day.

017. Two of your favorite bands are having a show in your town on the same night. How do you decide which one to go to?: Whoever gives the best live performances. Or if one was my mom, I'd go see her.

018. Do you have any secrets?: Doesn't everyone?

019. What's one fashion trend you really liked and miss?: I still think the purple cat-suit looked kind of cool.

020. Isn't true Gothic style just beautiful?: It works for Roiben.

021. Coffee or tea?: Both are nice, but I like coffee.

022. Where did you get the pants you're wearing?: From some store. I forgot.

023. Are you a good swimmer?: Pretty good. But I hate swimming in the ocean. Swimming pools are okay but the chemicals smell awful. Lakes are nice if they're not polluted.

024. When did someone last prank call you?: I don't think I have. Unless you count some of the weird things Corny says when I pick up the phone.

025. Isn't it annoying when surveys assume you have an iPod, a car, or a job? Especially since I don't have any of those things!: Not really. But I'm a bit technologically behind in this place.

026. What's your favorite candy?: Pixie stix.

027. What's your secret talent?: It wouldn't be a secret if I told, would it?

028. What's your favorite kind of make-up if you wear any?: Eyeliner. Especially the glittery black kind.

029. Do you believe in ghosts or haunted houses?: After all the things I've witnessed from being around the faeries and in the City, anything is possible.

030. Do you believe in God, heaven, hell, or the devil?: Yeah.. aren't there like three God's here and a couple of Lucifer's and devils?

031. What's your favorite hair accessory (clips, headbands, ponytails, etc.)?: None. But I like braids. Maybe pig tails.

032. Do you have any pets?: I have two rats, but they're at home. Isaac and Armageddon.

033. What year is your computer?: With the City, I have no idea.

034. Which of your exes do you see the most?: None of them, especially here.

035. Do you play a musical instrument?: No, but I know a lot about sound equipment from working with my mom's bands.

037. Do you still have any shirts from middle school?: I don't think any of those would fit, except for a few t-shirts I grew into. But they're not here anyway.

038. Do you still have a bunch of notes/cards/whatever from your first boyfriend?: I don't think he wrote any.

039. What's your favorite kind of cake? Homemade or made at the store?: Homemade is always best. I can always taste the chemicals in the store-bought kind.

040. Who's like a second mother to you?: The Thistlewitch was kind of like a second mother to me.

041. Which of your friends looks the most like you?: I don't think any of them do, since I'm kind of green.

042. If you plan on going to graduate school, which do you want to go to?: I don't plan on going to college at all.

043. What's the best job you ever had?: Working at Harry's shop right now, probably. Definitely beats delivering Chinese food.

044. What does your dream house look like? Is it big or small? In a city or country side?: I'm not that picky. Somewhere in Ironside where I can be with my friends and then go back to the Faerie courts to see Roiben.

045. Where does your significant other live?: Usually, in Faerieland. Right now, in the City.

046. Do your best friend's parents like you?: I think so. At least Corny's mom.

047. What do you and your best friend argue about the most?: I don't know. Faeries?

048. Are you like family to one of your friend's parents? Like you can just drop by any time to say hello and it wouldn't be weird?: More or less, yeah.

049. Which of your significant other's friends do you hate the most?: Uhm. I don't think Roiben has many friends like that. But I didn't get along with his sister for a while. <s>I kind of kidnapped her.</s>

050. Do you buy clothes at garage sales, thrift shops, or accept clothes that were already used?: Sometimes. They have some good stuff.

I'm not cursed. I just thought the surveys and quizzes looked fun.

Kaye Fierch will have to write:

I will not lie on the ground and tell people they don't want to know why I'm lying there

'What will you have to write on the chalk board?' at QuizGalaxy.com

Twisting the truth is easy. It's amazing how deceptive you can be without outright lying.

But for some reason I keep blurting out things. I couldn't lie before, but at least I could just not answer questions or change things around.

((ooc: Kaye = faerie, so she can't lie already, but the curse makes her blurt things out more I guess? So she'll be trying to shut up. Or just twisting the truth as much as she can, she's good at that. Sorry this was so late, WAY hectic day.))

What happened yesterday? I was kind of not around the network.

[Filtered to..people she knows/friends:]

I... Okay, I tried to shop-lift yesterday, but it back-fired so badly that I got caught and put in jail for a day. I don't know how it happened. I was being loud and obvious and.. what made me think it would be a good idea to steal a watermelon, anyway?

I still feel really sick. All of the iron on the bars... Ugh. As if I didn't get enough from the Titanic curse.

[/Filtered]

((ooc: Her shop-lifting-fu failed on the lowest common denominator curse.. >>; So pretend this was posted earlyish the day after? ♥ ))

[Since glamour was all magic by imagination, really, it was no wonder that the boat Kaye glamoured from a desk looked like a gondola, complete with fanciful swirling ends. But it could float. That was all that mattered.

And it wasn't like Corny and Kaye needed even more reasons to hate the ocean. Before Janet's death, Kaye actually liked it. How could you dislike something so calming and natural and so free of iron? But the ocean was really a lot scarier and deeper than that.

When the curse was over and the boat finally washed up on the shore, Kaye was asleep, leaning on Roiben or Corny for warmth. It was freezing.]

[17] Immortality is fake

I know the City is dangerous. There's a lot of vampires, demons, and other creatures just bragging about killing things. It reminds me of some faeries I met back home. It also reminds me of the kelpie that killed Janet. Do immortals, if you can call them that, just get so bored that they become interested in killing? Maybe they just become fascinated with death because they think they can't die. It's easy to be cruel if you can live that long. <s>It pisses me off to read that shit on the Network but I can't be impulsive about that stuff anymore...Not yet, at least.</s>

I don't think I believe in true immortality, though. Faeries can die too. I'm sure vampires can too, depending on how it works in their worlds. I bet even gods can die. Maybe new ones just show up, or something.

[15] Confused shopgirl

This curse isn't so bad, except for being wet and cold at times. Most of the time I've had a rainbow over my head, although it's rained on me enough too. Must think happy thoughts. Tomorrow I'll have to dry up some things in my room. Corny, how is yours?

Harry's gone. I'll miss him... He said he would be back, right?

Tony, he left me with the shop, although I don't know why. I'm still new. He said that you could help replace items like potions if the shop needed it. I don't know how to run a shop, but I guess I do need experience for if I ever decide to run a coffee shop. Does anyone want to help?
